With no end in sight to the Public Service Sector strike, Equal Education is putting together an emergency tutoring programme to assist EE members who are in matric.
If you are able to teach any lessons on the following areas please contact us at Joey@equaleducation.org.za
- Maths
- Physics
- English
- Life Sciences (Biology)
- Chemistry
- Geography
- Xhosa
(lessons need to be relevant to the matric syllabus, ie choose a topic and come run it)
Alternatively if you are able to come and tutor and just help learners with worksheets we will be setting them, come along.
If there are a lot of students who respond, they will attend a lesson and then help teach other students this content in groups afterwards. The school will make classrooms available to us for this purpose.
Directions to Thembelihle High School:
Take the N2 to Khayelitsha
Take the Spine Road Turn off (after R300)
At the bridge go right to Khayelitsha
A circle, go right to Khayelitsha
Pass one traffic light (Lansdowne Rd)
Take next left, and the school will be on your right (100m from turn off)
A note on safety: Please note that EE has consulted with the South African Democratic Teacher's Union, and they have no problem with EE offering these lessons
