Equal Education in partnership with Ingqaqi project is looking for graduates or university students in the Eastern Cape to volunteer and tutor learners in underprivileged schools. This is an opportunity for young graduates and SA citizens who care about education to make an impact in improving learner outcomes of learners in rural areas.
The Igqangi Project is an education and school development initiative based in the Wild Coast of the Eastern Cape, South Africa. The primary focus is on bringing skilled volunteers to the area and Baleni Senior Secondary School – a rural school in partnership with the project that is poised to support the surrounding community.
The Ingqangi Project offers volunteers an amazing learning and travelling experience. It is located by the wild coast where there is great weather. The sea and the river are also just a stone throw away.
Any interested persons will be required to be available from the month of October. Igqangi will be housing and feeding the volunteers, as well as lifting them to and from school. Ingqanqi will also cover the transport costs of those staying 2 weeks or longer who are based in South Africa. International volunteers are also welcome to apply.
Interested persons please send your CV to info@equaleducation.org.za. The deadline is 9 October 2014.
