When the South African Government closed schools due to #Covid19 in March, we recognised this decision, while necessary, would take a drastic toll on school communities. We conducted three surveys across the five provinces we organise in – Gauteng, the Western Cape, the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo.
We conducted these to understand how learners had been affected by the lockdown, how school staff were preparing to resume schooling, and what is was like to be back in school.
