We are looking for a  passionate individual to join our Eastern Cape team as Office Manager working in a movement tackling systemic challenges which cause social inequities.

Office Manager

Level: Entry to mid-level position

Position: This is a seven month contract position from July 2017 till March 2017. The individual will serve the role of substitute Office Manager to our current Office Manager who will be on maternity leave. The individual will report to the Deputy Head of Province and also work closely with the Chief Operations Officer at national office

Location: King Williams Town, Eastern Cape

The Office Manager plays a vital role in the effective operations of the Eastern Cape office. Through the implementation of effective administrative systems, the Office Manager is able to maintain a well-resourced and welcoming work environment while executing on-going and arising events. EE is a dynamic organisation often engaged in multiple activities of advocacy and activism which need logistical support. The Office Manager has scope to participate in the planning and coordination of provincial activities with the guidance of the Deputy Head of Province and Chief Operations Officer.

Key responsibilities: General office administration; managing the housekeeper; operating reception; event planning and logistics; and HR and financial administration (including petty cash).

Qualifications, skills and competencies: Tertiary qualification; highly organized and systems oriented; strong communication skills, verbal and written; project management or events planning experience, highly favourable; flexibility with a constantly changing environment. Successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running and quickly learn our operating systems in order to be effective in the fixed duration of the contract. Ideally, the candidate will be interested and engaged in issues of social justice, have passion for working for young people and understand admin & logistics as an integral part of achieving the movement’s objectives.

R 7814.00
