The position includes planning, proposal writing, report writing, monitoring of budgets and expenditure, and relationship-building. The job will involve working on long term planning and strategy both in working with funding partners and in reflecting EE’s work.
Additionally, strong research and communication skills are required in order to be able to engage with EE staff members, evaluate projects and programme and then represent EE’s work.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys writing, thinking analytically, strategy, communicating with contemporaries regularly, and working towards securing long term relationships and funding from funding partners. Recent university graduates with degrees in which substantive writing is required are encouraged to apply.
This position is based in our Khayelitsha office and reports to the Chief Finance Officer.
Requirements for the post:
- A strong university qualification or equivalent
- Outstanding writing skills
- Skilled on Excel to create and understand budgets and financial reports
- Organized, self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
